“The Wonderful, Wacky World of Red Wiggler Worms” is a children’s book that takes place in a classroom where the students are introduced to worm farming. Imagine their excitement when 1000 worms are delivered to their classroom! Over a four month period the students learn of the benefits worms give to our earth as they learn to care for them and eventually harvest their castings.
On the inside of the worm bin we get to meet our worms who have taken on human personalities. Through Winston, the “Worm of Wisdom”, and his herd, we learn how worm farms are run and what the worms like or dislike and what they need to stay healthy and productive.
Readers will learn about the benefits of microorganisms and how they enhance worm castings which benefit our earth. The worms are “wonderful and wacky” and you may even get a glimpse of them playing baseball. This is a fun book full of action and information.
